I am Edu, the founder of Edu Shapes, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. A small-town boy, I traded the tranquility of a countryside village for the rhythm of the waves on the coast. Fifteen years ago, I stepped into the world of surfboard manufacturing, not just as a craft but as a passion.

My journey began with the transformation from a novice surfer to a builder and seller of surfboards. Along the way, I had the privilege of collaborating with some of the finest international surfboard shapers, absorbing their expertise and refining my skills. Leading the operations of a surfboard factory, I earned recognition in the market and took on the role of a CEO.

What sets Edu Shapes apart is not just the craftsmanship but the commitment to pushing boundaries. I take pride in being one of the few shapers who rigorously tests their surfboards in diverse conditions. From fine-tuning designs for optimal performance in small waves to pushing the limits in formidable giants like Nazare, I believe in experiencing firsthand what my creations can achieve.
